DESCRIPTION:The University of Mary Washington (UMW) Board of Visitors will meet on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 4 PM in the Minor Executive Board Room at the Jepson Alumni Executive Center (JAEC) located at 1119 Hanover Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia.  The primary purpose of this meeting is to endorse the 2026 UMW graduate and undergraduate degree candidates.     

At 5:30 PM, the Board of Visitors will have dinner with invited guests at Brompton, 704 Sunken Road, Fredericksburg, Virginia.  No University business will be conducted at this event. 

The Board of Visitors will gather for a continental breakfast at 8 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the University’s main campus, 1301 College Avenue, Fredericksburg, Virginia, James Farmer Hall, Room 204.  No University business will be conducted at this event.  

At 9 AM, the Board of Visitors will participate in the University’s one hundred and fifteenth Commencement ceremony to celebrate the Class of 2026 graduate and undergraduate degree candidates.  The event will take place outdoors, rain or shine, on Ball Circle, 1301 College Avenue, Fredericksburg, Virginia.  

Lunch will follow the Commencement ceremony in the Chandler Ballroom at the Cedric Rucker University Center.  Tickets must be purchased in advance.  For additional information, visit:  https://www.umw.edu/commencement/faq/.

This will be available until the electronic communication concludes at the end of the meeting.  This is an open meeting.  No public comment will be taken.
