University of Mary Washington Board of Visitors Meeting

The University of Mary Washington Board of Visitors will hold a regular meeting April 19-20, 2018. All meetings will be held in the Minor Executive Board Room at the Jepson Alumni Executive Center (JAEC) located at 1119 Hanover Street, Fredericksburg, Virginia, unless otherwise indicated. On Thursday, April 19, an optional lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m. in the Rectors’ Gallery at the JAEC. Following lunch, the Board of Visitors will meet at 1:00 p.m. for various University matters, including consideration of new rates for tuition and fees effective for the 2018-2019 academic year. At 5:00 p.m., Board members will hold a dinner meeting with the president at the Kalnen Inn at JAEC. On Friday, April 20, Board members will meet for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. in the Rectors’ Gallery at JAEC. Committee meetings will commence at 9:00 a.m. in the Minor Board Room and the Rappahannock Ballroom. At ll:00 a.m., the Diversity Ad Hoc Committee will meet in the Minor Board Room. The Board of Visitors will host an appreciation luncheon for elected leaders of the Student Government Association at approximately 12:00 p.m. in the Rappahannock Ballroom at the JAEC. Following lunch, committee meetings will resume and should conclude at approximately 2:00 p.m. The full Board will then reconvene to hear committee reports and recommendations for action. Board members will also hear reports from representatives of the University Faculty Council, Staff Advisory Council, Student Government Association, and the Honor Council. A joint reception and dinner with the UMW Alumni Board of Directors will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Rappahannock Ballroom. No University business will be conducted by the Board at the evening event.
