In accordance with Chapter 1283 of the 2020 Acts of the Virginia General Assembly, the Longwood University Board of Visitors will meet by electronic communication means on Friday, March 19, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. eastern time. An electronic meeting is permitted when the Governor has declared a state of emergency in accordance with Va. Code § 44-147.17, provided that (i) the nature of the declared emergency makes it impracticable or unsafe to assemble in a single location and (ii) the purpose of the meeting is to discuss or transact the business statutorily required or necessary to continue operations and the discharge of its lawful purposes, duties, and responsibilities. The Rector, in consultation with the President, has determined that it would be both impracticable and unsafe to assemble in a single location for this meeting.
