Pursuant to Chapter 1283 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly, the Virginia Board of Education will convene electronically on Tuesday, April 20, Wednesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 22. The purpose of these meetings is to transact the business statutorily required or necessary to continue the operations of the Board. Due to the COVID-19 coronavirus health emergency, the meetings will proceed under modified procedures. All meetings are open to the public for viewing. All meetings will be livestreamed on the VDOE YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrbxl9wHScrWKWIEoUWNIfQ/videos. You may also view the livestream from the Board’s public meeting webpage. The Special Committee to Review the Standards of Accreditation will convene at 2 p.m. The agenda and meeting materials will be available on the Committee's webpage at https://www.doe.virginia.gov/boe/committees_standing/soa/index.shtml. Oral public comment will not be accepted; however, written public comment will be accepted and may be submitted to the Board’s email address at BOE@doe.virginia.gov. Pursuant to the Bylaws of the Board of Education, the Board requests that members of the public only address the committee on matters on the committee’s published agenda and any matters added to the agenda during the meeting by the committee.
