May 13, 2022 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM

VCU officials have presented the proposed fiscal year 2022-2023 (July 1, 2022 thru June 30, 2023) tuition and fees to the Board of Visitors. The board reviewed tuition projections for the 2022-2023 academic year, ranging from 3 percent to 6 percent for undergraduate students, along with a 3 percent to 6 percent tuition increase for graduate students. The board is considering the administration's recommendation of 3% to 6% for Undergraduate and Graduate, 2% for Medicine First Professional, 2% for Pharmacy First Professional and 0% for Dentistry First Professional. Under the recommended range, typical in-state undergraduate students enrolled in 15 credits per semester would pay $15,641 at 3 percent to $16,017 at a 6 percent increase in tuition and mandatory fees in the 2022-23 academic year, an increase of $523 to $899. Out-of-state undergraduate students’ tuition and mandatory fees would be set at $37,587 to $38,573, an increase of $1,131 to 2,117. The recommendation for total mandatory fees is an increase of $145 from $3,024 to $3,169 for residents and a $145 increase from $3,714 to $3,859 for nonresidents.
