An informal conference (§4vac25-130-773.13 VCSMRR) will be conducted at the Appalachia Town Clerk Office Council Chambers at 508 W Main St, Appalachia, VA 24216. Specifically, the proceeding is to receive comments as to whether or not Iron Mountain Collieries LLC should be granted the right to mine under Application Number 1011197. Iron Mountain Collieries LLC’s proposed mining area is located 0.10 miles West of Arno on Derby Road in Wise County Please be advised that the informal conference will be open to the public. The informal conference officer may accept oral or written arguments and any other information relevant to the issuance of the notice.
