The Virginia State University Board of Visitors will hold its annual retreat on August 3-4, 2023 at the Hilton Virginia Beach Oceanfront Hotel located at 3001 Atlantic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. The purpose of the retreat is to provide orientation for new board members and training/educational sessions for the Board. These public sessions, while open to constituent attendance, are exempted from livestream as they do not qualify as full board meetings. No Board actions will be taken at these sessions, and there will not be an opportunity for public comment at the sessions. On Wednesday, August 2nd, the Board will hold a welcome reception in the Courtney Terrace Room from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Thursday, August 3rd, the Board will convene at 9:00 a.m. in the Peacock Ballroom Salon C with sessions ending for the day at approximately 2:30 p.m. At 4:00 p.m., the Board will have dinner at the Signet Center located at 884 Bells Mill Road, Chesapeake, VA.
