An informal conference (ยง4vac25-130-773.13 VCSMRR) will be conducted at the Appalachia Town Clerk Office Council Chambers at 508 W Main St, Appalachia, VA 24216. Specifically, the proceeding is to receive comments concerning Permit Number 1102375 Renewal Application 1011382 and Permit number 1102365, Renewal Application #1011340, which were submitted by Inmet Mining, LLC. Permit Number 1102375 is located 0.7 Mile east of Stonega on Callahan Creek in Wise County. Permit Number 1102365 is located 5 miles North of Appalachia near Roda. This will be a joint conference regarding both applications. Please be advised that the informal conference will be open to the public. The informal conference officer will accept oral or written comments and any other information relevant to either application. Please also be advised that it is not the intent of this informal hearing to be a forum for debate or to address any questions The informal conference is to receive comments only and will be taken into consideration during the review process.
