Christopher Newport University’s Board of Visitors will meet on the 2nd Floor of the Freeman Center conference wing, 1 Avenue of the Arts, Newport News, Virginia (unless otherwise specified) on Thursday and Friday, November 7-8, 2024. A planning retreat for University and Board operations will be held. Committee and Board meetings will also take place to conduct regular business. Friday, November 8, the Board will assemble beginning at 8:30 a.m. on the second floor in the Lobby. Academic Affairs Committee and Athletics Committee will meet simultaneously from 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. in Rooms 201 and 202 respectively. Operations, Audit and Risk Committee will meet from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. in Room 202 followed by Finance and Facilities Committee from 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. in Room 202. Committee meetings will be followed by a Board of Visitors lunch from 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. in Room 101.
