Mar 6, 2025 6:00 PM

The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is hosting a virtual webinar on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 6pm ET to solicit community feedback on strategies and actions for DEQ’s development of a statewide Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP). This plan is the second phase of the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) planning process and will focus on identifying Virginia-specific opportunities and challenges, as well as evaluating potential paths to reduce climate pollution. To register for the virtual webinar, please visit https://covaconf.webex.com/weblink/register/rafcd9403793325e451b8a5095c2e2678 . This webinar provides an opportunity, especially for those who did not attend a listening session at one of DEQ’s regional offices, to engage with the CPRG Team and give their input on the climate planning process. The session will begin with a presentation by DEQ staff covering an overview of the CPRG program, a summary of CCAP content and requirements, and an overview of the CCAP engagement process and timeline. Following the presentation, virtual attendees may ask questions, provide feedback, and share ideas on climate pollution reduction strategies for DEQ to consider in the plan. Additional information on the CPRG program and CCAP can be found at https://www.deq.virginia.gov/CPRG, or through subscription to the CPRG e-mail bulletin (sign-up here). If you have any questions, you may contact the CPRG team at CPRG@deq.virginia.gov.
