Commonwealth Transportation Board 2025 Spring Six-Year Improvement Program Meeting – Hampton Roads District
Apr 24, 2025 4:00 PM
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss or transact the business statutorily required or necessary to continue operation of the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) and the discharge of its lawful purposes, duties and responsibilities. Specifically, the meeting is intended to provide information regarding the Six-Year Improvement Program (SYIP) and receive public comment on transportation projects recommended for funding in the FY2026-2031 SYIP as well as for new projects valued in excess of $25 million, pursuant to §33.2-202 of the Code of Virginia. The program allocates public funds to highway, road, bridge, rail, bicycle, pedestrian and public transportation projects. All federally eligible projects in the SYIP will be included in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program to document how Virginia will obligate its federal funds. The public is invited to offer input/comment on projects recommended for funding in various ways. A formal comment period will be held at the meeting. In addition, the public is invited to share feedback on transportation projects that have been recommended for funding by submitting written comments by May 21, 2025 online, by email, or by mail. The CTB will consider the public's comments as it develops the FY2026-2031 SYIP.
