Christopher Newport University’s Board of Visitors will meet on the 2nd Floor of the Freeman Center conference wing, 1 Avenue of the Arts, Newport News, Virginia (unless otherwise specified) on Thursday and Friday, April 24-25, 2025. The purpose of the meetings is to conduct regular business of the Board. Thursday, April 24, there will be a light breakfast from 8:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the 2nd floor lobby. Executive Committee will meet from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in Room 201. Finance & Facilities Committee will meet from 10:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in Room 201. The Board of Visitors will hold lunch from 11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. in Room 101 followed by a presentation by Stephen Moret, President and CEO, Strada from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. in Room 201. Academic Affairs Committee and Athletics Committee will meet simultaneously from 2:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. in Rooms 201 and 202 respectively. University Advancement Committee will meet from 3:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. in Room 201. The Board of Visitors will hold a joint reception with Faculty at 4:30 p.m. at the Gregory P. Kilch Alumni House followed by a Board of Visitors dinner at 6:15 p.m. at the James River County Club – no official business will be conducted at either of these events.
