SB838 Recovery Residences Workgroup M1

Chapter 608 of the 2025 Acts of Assembly (SB838) requires the Secretary of Health and Human Resources to convene a workgroup to analyze and make recommendations regarding the creation of a process through which the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) can provide oversight of all recovery residences in the Commonwealth, and to ensure transparency with the public and residents or potential residents of recovery residences regarding the certification of each recovery residence, including certification requirements, results, and inspections. The Office of the Secretary of Health and Human Resources is planning to hold the first meeting of this workgroup, led by Hallie Pence, Executive Director of Right Help, Right Now, on May 29, 2025. https://lis.virginia.gov/bill-details/20251/SB838/text/CHAP0608
