The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is announcing the second meeting of a regulatory advisory panel (RAP) to assist DEQ in the regulatory process of revising the Solar Permit by Rule (PBR) regulation related to enhanced mitigation for disturbance of forest cores with very high and outstanding ecological integrity using mapping and definitions which can be applied in the field to identify forest cores with very high and outstanding ecological integrity. The second meeting of this RAP will commence at 10:00 a.m. and end by or before 3:00 p.m. on October 9, 2025, at DEQ’s Piedmont Regional Office. Sign-in will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Piedmont Regional Office (PRO) is located in the Innsbrook Corporate Center in the northwest quadrant of the Greater Richmond Metropolitan Area at 4949-A Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. Turn right off of Cox Road into the parking lot at the roadside DEQ sign; drive straight ahead and enter the building at the door marked ‘DEQ Reception Area.’ Please note that while this is a public meeting and members of the public are invited to attend, only members of the RAP will be asked to participate.
