DARS will be hosting an in-person public meeting of the Commonwealth Council on Aging Legislative Committee on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 1pm-4pm at DARS Central Office, 5620 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060. The in-person meeting will also be live streamed via Zoom. To access the virtual live stream, use the following link to register: https://dsa-virginia.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_wZvvknMjQICsc9XJ46EDdQ Members of the public wishing to make a comment during the meeting have three options: In-Person Public Comment: If a member of the public would like to make public comment in-person during the meeting, they may sign up to do so at the meeting. Virtual Public Comment: If a member of the public chooses to make public comment during the meeting via the virtual webinar, please contact Sara Stowe at sara.stowe@dars.virginia.gov. Written Public Comment: If a member of the public would like to make public comment via email or mail, it must be submitted to Sara Stowe, sara.stowe@dars.virginia.gov by August 10, 2026. Written public comments received by August 10, 2026 will be read (or if lengthy, summarized) during the meeting. Depending on the number of public comments received as well as meeting agenda and timing, public comments may be time limited. If you need reasonable accommodations, such as sign language interpreters and/or real-time captioning services, please send accommodation requests to the board staff as early as possible but no later than seven (7) business days before the date of the meeting.
